I am an intentional person, truly living life! As a psychotherapist, I believe that therapy is a creative process. It is how I look at life and the healing process. I have been in practice since 1992 and have touched thousands of people’s lives with my philosophy of healing.

Everyone is unique and special in his or her own way. Given this, our concerns need to be viewed with creative lenses to bridge the therapeutic, educational and creative processes to meet the needs of the whole individual.

My graduate degree is in Clinical and Humanistic Psychology and I earned a BA in Fine Art. I am certified in Motional Processing©. I have extensive post-graduate training in Gestalt Therapy, Bioenergetics, Neo-Reichian Breathwork, and Redicision Therapy. As a licensed State of Michigan, Limited Licensed Psychologist, I collaborate with many professional in my field. One of my mentors and supervisor is John Varani, Ph.D., a fully licensed psychologist and professor.

As a lover of life, I have studied dance and movement for more than two decades. As a co-owner of Changez Salon, my partner and I utilize this venue to support a plethora of charities and the arts. I believe we are all responsible to the greater good of us all. Some of the charities include but not limited to Detroit Passport for the Arts, Eisenhower Dance Ensemble and Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit.

My passion is helping individuals, couples and groups heal and find the best within themselves. As mentioned, when I am not facilitating the healing process, as an active practitioner in life, I celebrate creativity and community service through Changez Salon and I still find the time to teach as an adjunct professor at Oakland Community College, teaching courses in psychology.
